Abstract

This study looked at how teaching and learning methods in higher education are changing as a result of artificial intelligence (AI). The study examined six constructs—AI integration in teaching, impact on engagement, personalized learning effectiveness, assessment and feedback efficiency, ethical/privacy concerns, and training and support adequacy—based on a quantitative, cross-sectional survey of 160 students and 40 teachers. According to descriptive statistics, people's opinions of AI were largely favorable, withA engagement and assessment effectiveness receiving the highest ratings and institutional training and support receiving the lowest. With the exception of ethical/privacy concerns, where students expressed noticeably greater apprehension, independent samples t-tests showed no significant differences between students and teachers across the majority of constructs. The results show how AI can improve efficiency, personalization, and interaction, but they also point to weaknesses in institutional preparedness and ethical governance. To guarantee responsible and inclusive AI adoption in higher education, the study suggests bolstering training initiatives, tackling privacy issues, and growing support systems.
